Goldman Appoints Former Senator, Governor As International Advisor

The New York-listed investment banking and investment management giant Goldman Sachs has appointed Judd Gregg, a former three-term US senator from New Hampshire, as an international advisor.

Gregg joins a group of 17 international advisors and will provide strategic advice to the firm and its clients, as well as assisting in business development initiatives.

During his time at the US Senate, Gregg was the ranking Republican member on the Appropriations; Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; and Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committees. Before joining the Senate, he served two terms as governor of New Hampshire and four terms as a member of the US House of Representatives.

“A strong financial sector is critical to our nation and one of the key engines of job creation in our country,” said Gregg in a statement.

In related news, Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management has reportedly hired former Thurleigh Investment Managers partner and portfolio manager David Livingston in London.
